- Pearl (Bajra) millet mini dumplings – 1 1/2 cups
- Spring onion (white & green part chopped separately) – 2 to 3 teaspoons each
- Garlic chopped – 1 teaspoon
- Onion chopped – 1/2 cup
- Carrot, Cabbage, Green Beans, Capsicum, Mushroom, Greenpeas – 1/4 cup each
- Pepper powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Rock salt – as per taste
- Sesame oil – 2 teaspoons
Method:
- Dry roast the Pearl millet flour for 6 to 8 minutes until a nice aroma comes out. Make mini dumplings as mentioned in Sorghum mini dumplings recipe and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add white part of the Spring onion & chopped garlic first. Saute them for few minutes. Then add chopped Onion and sauté for few more minutes. Add all the chopped vegetables together and sauté them in medium high flame. If required cover it with a lid for few minutes until the vegetables turn slightly soft and crunchy.
- Add pepper powder and salt and mix it well. Finally add the steamed Pearl millet dumplings and green part of Spring onion. Mix everything thoroughly and adjust salt as per taste. Serve hot.
Note:
- Dumpling can be prepared with any variety of millet.
- You need to remember only one point if you are using Pearl (Bajra) millet flour. It requires less water (half of the quantity of flour taken) only to make dumplings.
