Ingredient: (for 1 person)
- Any two or three types of vegetables - 75 grams
- Broken Wheat - 1 cup
- Green Chilli - 1 no.
- Salt - to taste
Method:
- Cut the vegetables into small pieces.
- Boil 3 cups water in a vessel. As soon as the water starts boiling, add the broken wheat, vegetables and green Chilli.
- Keep the flame in simmer and stir the mix every now and then. Once the wheat is fully cooked, turn-off the stove and add salt.
Note:
Broken Wheat (Samba wheat) is available in organic stores. No need to soak the Wheat before hand. If you wish to do that, then reduce the quantity of water, else the Uppuma will become soggy.
